The Perks of Being a Wall Flower is a book on teenage struggles and self growth. The inspiration for the cover redesign was taken from the plots of the book. The typewriter is a main item throughout the book for main character, Charlie. Using foreshadowing elements in the design, I try to foreshadow the narrative by using all dimensions of the design.
Dust Jacket Laid Out
The foliage on the back foreshadow hardship that the main character faces and plays into the idea of "wallflowers."
All illustrations were done on Adobe Illustrator while the organization of all the components were arranged on Adobe Indesign.
